SITUATION

Waters Corp., a $1.9 billion scientific tool manufacturer, was undergoing a significant evolution and engaged Stanton as its communications partner around a number of different initiatives. Among these were the communication of a new executive team — including the CEO — and a renewed strategic focus on employees, customers, partners, and the industry.

 APPROACH

Stanton developed a comprehensive plan with messaging and tactics for each audience to ensure the evolution was correctly communicated as a positive change and the natural next step in the company’s growth and career opportunities. Additionally, we created a strategic communication program to be rolled out over several months to maintain the higher level of positive engagement.

RESULTS

The changes at Waters Corp. were effectively communicated well in advance. They were understood by internal and external audiences, including shareholders. This strategic evolution was seen as building on the company’s past successes and fueling future growth.
